1 〔気温が低く感じられる〕 cold.

●寒い冬 a cold winter

・寒い地方 a cold region

・寒い所に in a cold place; 《leave sth out》 in the cold

・寒そうな looking cold; chilly; wintry; bleak 《winter's night》

・(人が)寒そうに見える look cold; appear uncomfortable because of the cold

・寒くて震える shiver with [from] cold.
